Eight animals. All real, all trouble.

Four at launch. The other four arrive with their seasons.

One glass. One nudge. One very tired café owner.

  1. A cat watches a tea glass on the edge of a café table
    So close to the edge…
  2. The glass tips over the edge while the cat sits below
    Just a little nudge.
  3. The café owner in his apron, hands up, seeing it happen again
    Not again!

Every prank sets off the next one: the owner shouts, the dog answers, the whole street argues. That is a chain, and chains are how you score.

One neighbourhood, top to bottom.

Haret el-Waz is a made-up Cairo quarter: nine zones stacked from the roofs to the drains.

The full calendar

Short answers.

What is Waz?

Waz is a mobile game where you play a street animal in a Cairo neighbourhood and prank the people who live there. One knocked-over tea glass sets off the owner, the dog and the whole street, and the longer the chain, the bigger your score.

Is it free?

Yes, Waz is free to play with in-app purchases. Prices are real money, shown up front. There is no paid randomness, no energy timer and no premium currency, and you cannot trade items.

Which animals can I play?

Eight: cat, dog, goat and pigeon at launch, then rat, hooded crow, gull and Egyptian mongoose as their seasons arrive. Each has its own breeds and abilities, 43 breeds in all. Meet them.

Is it safe for kids?

It is built for a mixed audience with comedy and no cruelty: no injuries, nothing thrown at animals, people are annoyed and never hostile. We are aiming for a 9+/E10+ rating. The age band decides what starts: under-13s get an anonymous account, no ad IDs and no push. Read the parents’ page.

When does it launch?

Waz is planned for 2027. Join the waitlist and we will email you once when it is out.
